Maybe the most autobiographical song I've ever written. Sometimes I wish I was more people-y but then a person speaks to me and I'm like 'nope', I'm good.

Lyrics

I try to be kind. I do what I can do
To make life better for women... men too
Raise money for orphans, fight for equalities
Recycle my plastics and protect all the trees
It's created an image I don't want to embrace
A misunderstanding I feel a need to erase
Don't consider my kindness an invitation
To engage me in unsolicited trite conversation

Because...
I'm...not friendly.
I don't want to hang out with you
There's a million things I'd rather do
You coming in to my home, is at odds with me being alone
I promise it's not you - it's me
I'm just not friendly

I've tried to have friends, it always ends poorly
I don't reply to their texts, they take it so sorely
Why can't we be friends that just never speak?
I'll telepathically acknowledge you at least once a week
There's nothing repugnant about your fine face
I just don't need to see it in my personal space

Because...
I'm...not friendly.
I don't want to hang out with you
There's a million things I'd rather do
You coming in to my home, is at odds with me being alone
I promise it's not you - it's me
I'm just not friendly

You're wonderful and lovely and I like you from afar
Can't we admire one another from exactly where we are?
Let me emphasise that there is no discrimination
I'm just painfully opposed to any social obligations

Because...
I'm ... not friendly
I don't want to hang out with you
There's a million things I'd rather do
You coming in to my home, is at odds with me being alone
I promise it's not you - it's me
I'm just not friendly

I'm just not friendly
